Code will be judged completely after submission. Round This round onwards all the process was held at Cvent office. It was an aptitude test. Test divided into 2 parts. Round It was the first technical F2F round. Then he asked me questions around my topic of interests only. He asked me which data structure I will use and how will it be efficient. Use it to represent a directed acyclic graph. Round 2nd technical F2F round. There are N machine on which instance of the same program is running.

These N machines can not communicate with each other. I have to suggest a way so that all the N machines can access machine M1 one at a time. Then he extended the question and asked to implement 2 stacks with a single array.

Buy me Coffee! These are questions, I believe will give the most bang for your buck and investment on time. Worthy of adding to your arsenal to fight the coding gods! Each question has its own unique 'gotcha' that you should learn. You want to take each question to the most optimal solution in-order to fully maximize what you can learn from it. Some questions are onion questions, with multiple solutions to the problem, its also important to know them all.

I am not an expert coder, nor do I call myself 'amazing' at coding. The example I provide, please use them with a grain of salt. I am a human just like you, we make mistakes. My code examples aren't flawless nor are they fully optimial. However, they are enough to pass interviews. So use them as such, just examples. You can always come up with something better than my code but that is not my intend with this repository. It is to show good enough code to pass Big N interviews, thats all.

Attempting to pass whiteboard interviews is a daunting task. No one is born natural to it. That is why I'd like to set a tone and mindset when I approach almost anything that I am unfamiliar with.

Here are a few quick tips that can get you started. You will fail. Accept it. There is only one effective way to deal with failure. That is to learn from it. Learn as much as you can from the choices you have made. In this case, that means, learn what you can from each question, encounter and process.

This is something for experience developers to deal with, as a junior developer your priority should be to clear the coding interview and get the job you want. In this article, I am going to share with you top coding interview problems from programming job interviews which every programmer should know.

The big question is what to prepare for Coding interviews?

cvent coding questions

Well, the most important thing to prepare is Data Structure-based coding problems like array-based coding problems, string problems, linked list problems, binary tree problems, etc. Having practiced them before not only makes you familiar with them but also gives you more confidence in explaining the solution to the interviewer.

One of the main problems with coding problems is that there are hundreds and thousands of coding problems on interviews, there are even sites like LeetCodeHackerRankCodewarsTopcoderfreeCodeCampHackerEarth which train programmers for coding interviews with lots of tough questions, which sometimes just overwhelms a beginner looking for a job. Solving these problems not only give you confidence but also help you to recognize some of the most common algorithmic patterns which will also help you to solve some unseen problems on real interviews.

Selection of good resources is very important for success in your coding interviews. If you chose a wrong resource then more than money, you will lose valuable time you need for preparation, hence spend some time researching for good resource.

A good book to prepare for programming job interviews in a short time. Btw, I will also earn some money if you buy any of these resources mentioned here. Without wasting any more of your time, here is my list of frequently asked coding problems from programming job interviews. In order to get most of this list, I suggest to actually solve the problem.

After solving a couple of problems you will gain confidence. I also suggest you look at the solution when you stuck or after you have solved the problem, this way you learn to compare different solution and how to approach a problem from a different angle. These are some of the most common questions outside of data structure and algorithms that help you to do really well in your interview.

I have also shared a lot of these questions on my blogso if you are really interested, you can always go there and search for them.

These common coding, data structure, and algorithm questions are the ones you need to know to successfully interview with any company, big or small, for any level of programming job. This list provides good topics to prepare and also helps assess your preparation to find out your areas of strength and weakness.

Thanks, You made it to the end of the article … Good luck with your programming interview! By the way, the more questions you solve in practice, the better your preparation will be. We are going to implement the problems in Python. There are a lot of computer science graduates and programmers applying for programming, coding, and software development roles at startups like Uber and Netflix; big organizations like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google; and service-based companies like Infosys or Luxoft, but many of them have no idea of what kind of programming interview questions to expect when you're applying for a job with these companies.

Once you have gone through these questions, you should feel confident enough to attend any telephonic or face-to-face interviews. Without any further ado, here is my list of some of the most frequently asked coding interview questions from programming job interviews:. An array is the most fundamental data structure, which stores elements at a contiguous memory location. It is also one of the darling topics of interviewers and you will hear a lot of questions about an array in any coding interview, e.

In order to create a shorter or longer array, you need to create a new array and copy all elements from old to new. The key to solving array-based questions is having a good knowledge of array data structure as well as basic programming constructors such as loop, recursion, and fundamental operators.

These questions will not only help you to develop your problem-solving skills but also improve your knowledge of array data structure. A linked list is another common data structure that complements the array data structure. Similar to the array, it is also a linear data structure and stores elements in a linear fashion. A linked list is nothing but a list of nodes where each node contains the value stored and the address of the next node.

These questions will help you to develop your problem-solving skills as well as improve your knowledge of the linked list data structure. Along with array and linked list data structures, a string is another popular topic on programming job interviews. I have never participated in a coding interview where no string-based question was asked. A good thing about the string is that if you know the array, you can solve string-based questions easily, because strings are nothing but a character array.

So all the techniques you learn by solving array-based coding questions can be used to solve string programming questions as well. Tree data structure is a data structure that allows you to store your data in a hierarchical fashion. Depending on how you store data, there are different types of trees, such as a binary tree, where each node has, at most, two child nodes.

Therefore, you will find a lot of questions based upon them, such as how to traverse them, count nodes, find depth, and check if they are balanced or not. A key point to solving binary tree questions is a strong knowledge of theory, e.
